FORT WORTH, TEXAS - Travelocity.com and Walt Disney are teaming up to offer discounted bulk-rate ticketing online for vacations at the entertainment company's parks and resorts. Travelocity will create a separate site to service the arrangement, which will operate under the banner of Travelocity Vacations, and work directly with Disney to access theme park tickets and on-site hotel room inventory. Travelocity will launch the product during the first quarter of 2002, offering either land-only or land-and-air packages for all on-site Walt Disney World Resort hotels that will include admission to Disney's theme parks in Orlando, Fla. Packages for California properties will be added later in the year.
