Through 30 April 2002, the Walt Disney Resort in Florida and Disneyland Resort in California will offer complimentary admission to active military personnel. The Disney Cruise Line offers this program through May 2002. Family members and friends can receive discounted tickets as well.

Included are active-duty members of the armed forces as well as activated members of the National Guard and Reserve. The military member can obtain one complimentary seven-day ticket and purchase various special offer tickets for up to five family members and friends at a 50 percent discount off the regular retail price for the same tickets.

If active members of the U.S. military are unable to come to the Walt Disney Resort during this offer, their spouses may purchase the special offer tickets one time during this period.

U.S. active military personnel are also eligible for discounts at select Disney resorts, starting with a $49 per night rate (plus tax) at Disney's All-Star Resorts, available most nights through 30 April. However, the number of rooms available at this rate is limited and minimum length-of-stay requirements will apply to Friday and Saturday arrivals. For more information, or to make reservations, military personnel should call 407-939-7424.

To obtain the complimentary seven-day tickets, active military personnel must present valid and active U.S. military IDs. Activated members of the National Guard or Reserve also must show active-duty orders. These special tickets can only be purchased at Disneyland Resort theme park ticket windows.

For more information on "Disney's Armed Forces Salute' or to make reservations, military personnel should call 407-939-7424. Information is also available at base ticket offices.
