"Fear Factor" (7 p.m., WMAQ-Channel 5): NBC pays tribute to one of the firefighter heroes of 9/11 by covering him in tarantulas.

"The Father Clements Story" (7 p.m., WCPX-Channel 38): Louis Gossett Jr. is the Rev. George Clements and Malcolm-Jamal Warner is his adopted son in this 1987 NBC movie about a Chicago priest who bucked tradition and fought John Cardinal Cody (Carroll O'Connor) in an unconventional effort to fight gang warfare. Sun-Times legend Irv Kupcinet plays himself.

"Biography" (7 p.m., A&E): TV critic Gary Deeb wrote in the Chicago Tribune that a certain young local newscaster had the IQ of a cantaloupe. Margaret Jane Pauley would get the last laugh, as this (STAR)(STAR)(STAR) survey gleefully points out. (Repeated at 11 p.m.)

"200 Greatest Pop Icons" (7 p.m., VH1): This sham countdown somehow puts Oprah Winfrey at No. 1 and Mickey Mouse doesn't even crack the top 10. Even Oprah should be embarrassed by that.

"For Love or Money 2" (8 p.m., WMAQ-Channel 5): The return of Gropemeister Rob from "For Love or Money 1" betrays a cold-sweat desperation on the part of the producers, who require an hour and 10 minutes to tell their insipid story this week.

"Paradise Hotel" (8 p.m., WFLD-Channel 32): Where's Dave Savini to test the bed linens when you need him?

"Searching for Debra Winger" (8 p.m., Showtime): Here's a vanity project from a Hollywood actress on the tyranny of vanity in Hollywood. Rosanna Arquette, who spends more time in front of the camera than most documentary-makers would, solicits insights from more than 30 other stars in this uneven (STAR)(STAR) 1/2 discussion about what they tolerate for their art and careers. It's fascinating to hear what these women go through, how horrible the men who run Hollywood can be and how difficult it is for a woman in show biz. Tighter editing would help, however. Among those with great anecdotes and solid points to make are Winger, Samantha Mathis, Adrienne Shelly, Diane Lane, Salma Hayek, Holly Hunter, Whoopi Goldberg, Roger Ebert and Martha Plimpton.

"I Love the 70s" (8 p.m., VH1): It's not quite as much fun as VH1's "I Love the 80s," but this fond remembrance of a bygone era is still a (STAR)(STAR)(STAR) blast for anybody who has a soft spot in their heart for "Love, American Style," Sea Monkeys and Weebles. Just when your interest might flag, Mo Rocca of Comedy Central's "The Daily Show" offers a pearl that saves the day.

"American Experience" (9 p.m., WTTW-Channel 11): It's the story of Seabiscuit. Again.

"Meet My Folks" (9:10 p.m., WMAQ-Channel 5): The only good thing about an extra-long edition of "For Love or Money 2" is it makes for an extra-short edition of this.
