Improperly wired Mickey Mouse waffle irons were recalled Thursday because of a possible hazard of fire, shock or electrocution.
The 1,300 electric waffle irons were made by a former Walt Disney Co. licensee, Vitantonio Products, which is defunct.
The iron, sold for about $60 from October 1996 to January 1997, is chrome and black with a Mickey Mouse face for the cooking surface and bears the model number 1950 and serial numbers 17001000 to 17002661 or 46006022 to 46006524. Consumers with one of the irons can get a $70 voucher for products in the Disney Catalog.
